Tavistock Cup: Team Rosters and Broadcast Schedule

The 2012 Tavistock Cup is only four days away.

The ninth edition of the two-day tournament, which takes place March 19 and 20, returns to Lake Nona Golf & Country Club with the top touring professional members of Albany, Isleworth Golf & Country Club, Lake Nona Golf & Country Club and Queenwood Golf Club.

This is an officially sanctioned PGA TOUR event recognized by many as the World Golf and Country Club Championship.

Six golf professional members represent each competing club’s team this year. Here are the players comprising this year’s lineups.

  • Team Albany features Tim Clark, Ernie Els, Trevor Immelman, Ian Poulter, Justin Rose and Tiger Woods.
  • Team Isleworth includes Robert Allenby, Daniel Chopra, Charles Howell III, Sean O’Hair, and newcomers Bo Van Pelt and Bubba Watson.
  • Team Lake Nona, defending champion, is represented by Ben Curtis, Ross Fisher, Retief Goosen, Peter Hanson, Graeme McDowell and Tavistock Cup rookie Gary Woodland.
  • Team Queenwood is made up of Thomas Bjorn, David Howell, Soren Kjeldsen, newcomer Tom Lewis, Paul McGinley and Adam Scott.

Collectively, the four clubs enjoy an unrivaled depth of talent representing the highest concentration of top-ranked golfers who together have won more than 860 worldwide victories, including 62 major championships as of 2011.

The tournament will air live on the Golf Channel in the U.S. from 12:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. EST, with a primetime re-air from 7:00 p.m. – midnight EST. Sky Sports will carry the event live in the U.K. 4:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. Please check local listings for broadcast times in your area.
